AI assistants

You can ask an AI assistant to read your Cabina account data and to change the widget configuration, in your own words: “Show me this week’s metrics”, “Change the button colour to #E63946”.

For this Cabina exposes an MCP server, at a single address:

https://www.cabina.io/api/mcp

ChatGPT and the Claude app

There is no key to copy: the assistant has you sign in with your Cabina account.

  1. In the assistant, open the connectors settings and add a custom connector. In ChatGPT you first have to turn on Developer mode.
  2. Paste the address above.
  3. A Cabina page opens: sign in with the link you receive by email.
  4. Check the assistant’s name and press Allow.

Press “Allow” only if you have just started the connection yourself. If the page appears without you asking for it, press “Deny”.

What the assistant can do

Always and only on your account:

  • read metrics, sessions, plan and size charts;
  • change the widget configuration (colour, button text, categories, language) and the allowed domains;
  • delete size charts.

It cannot create them: size charts are uploaded from the dashboard.

An assistant can make mistakes. After a change to the allowed domains, check that the button still appears on your shop.

Disconnecting an assistant

In the dashboard open MCP server : under Connected assistants you find the active ones, with the date they were connected. Disconnect removes that assistant’s access.

Other assistants

  • GitHub Copilot (in VS Code) and Gemini CLI connect the same way, without a key, by signing in with your account.
  • Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Antigravity use an admin key, which you generate from the dashboard.

Each assistant wants its own format: the right block for each one is on the MCP server  page of the dashboard.
